CBRE Upstate NY, an affiliate office of CBRE, helps clients across Upstate New York make informed and strategic decisions about commercial real estate for their business.

I lead and implement marketing, public relations, and advertising initiatives to promote the professional services firm in collaboration with executive leadership and frontline sales teams.

I serve in a unique role balancing working “in” the business and “on” the business executing day-to-day operational needs like sales communications and research while proactively leading brand communications initiatives. I help the group of licensed independent contractors become known and trusted while providing their clients with best-in-class commercial real estate advisory and transaction services.

  • Leading a social media marketing strategy achieving 221% growth in followers of the company account over a three-year period through organic content
  • Advising members of the sales team on effective personal social media use, content strategies, and personal branding
  • Establishing a high standard of quality for cohesive elements of the marketing communications mix that tie the brand together through email campaigns, social content, sales collateral, business development proposals, direct mail, press releases, and events

AAF Buffalo is the Western New York chapter of the American Advertising Federation. The group is a not-for-profit organization that brings professionals and students in the marketing communications field together for networking and professional development opportunities.

I served on the four-member executive board on the nonprofit for most of my time on the volunteer board of directors, overseeing AAF Buffalo’s strategic planning and decision-making activities to enhance networking and professional development opportunities in the marketing and advertising community.

  • Helped guide the club to a 66% increase in the general operating fund to improve programming and scholarship opportunities
  • Helped the club win 2017 AAF National Club of the Year along with 19 AAF Club Achievement Awards between 2016-2018
  • Increased the club’s paid membership by 48% (2014-2018) through focused outreach and emphasis on enhancing member benefits
  • Increased corporate memberships by 62% (2014-2018) and corporate member renewal rate from 47% to 75% (2014-2018)
  • Developed new revenue streams through sponsor outreach and monetization of the club’s job board
  • Increased the club’s social media presence organically across multiple channels: Facebook fans (+22%), Twitter followers (+51%), Instagram followers (+537%), LinkedIn group (+45%) [data between September 2014- March 2017]

EcoStar is a pioneering manufacturer of eco-friendly synthetic slate and shake roofing tiles made of up to 80% post-industrial recycled materials.

I was responsible for all advertising, public relations and marketing for the roofing manufacturer, reporting directly to the executive team. This role primarily supported the firm’s national network of independent sales reps and company-trained contractors.

  • Enhanced EcoStar’s online presence through website management and social media engagement
  • Designed signage, sales collateral, direct mail, and product displays
  • Organized exhibition presence at industry events and trade shows including the International Roofing Expo and NAHB International Builders’ Show

Applus RTD is a global provider of non-destructive testing and inspection services serving various industries (aerospace, oil and gas, manufacturing, petrochemical, power generation). Applus RTD purchased Quality Inspection Services in 2010.

As the marketing coordinator for North America, I was responsible for all advertising, public relations and marketing support for all Applus RTD offices in the United States and Canada while serving as the regional contact for the marketing communications group based in the Netherlands.

  • Coordinated and planned participation in 30 trade shows and events per year such as: Offshore Technology Conference, International Pipeline Exposition, NACE Corrosion Conference, SGA Operating Conference, WM Symposia
  • Coordinated efforts between business development and IT groups for Dynamics CRM implementation
  • Established a YouTube channel of informational videos about the service capabilities of a subsidiary averaging over 2,400 views per month
  • Wrote and published a quarterly internal newsletters (company and HQSE)
  • Managed the company website and regional social media accounts • Created brochures, sell sheets, and signage for trade shows
  • Researched prospective markets to evaluate the feasibility of expansion
  • Generated annual marketing budget for the region’s business development manager

Quality Media Services was the in-house media/marketing communication department of Quality Inspection Services, Inc. (QISI) which was purchased by Applus RTD in 2010.

  • Designed corporate communication and marketing materials for print, web and video targeting customers in industrial markets
  • Secured contracts to televise events for NCAA and USL W-League teams
  • Produced (shot, wrote, edited) features on student-athletes for Niagara University Athletics’ Niagara Sports Network
  • Edited promotional video projects for nonprofits and businesses
  • Videographer and editor for the weekly show Tee 2 Green which highlighted golf courses and related products/services in Western New York

WKBW-TV is the ABC affiliate serving Western New York and Southern Ontario.

As sports producer I was responsible for sports segments during multiple newscasts each shift as well as special programming.

  • Managed live broadcasts from the control room in collaboration with the technical director to ensure the show or segment ran as close to plan within its allotted time
  • Selected newsworthy sports content for broadcast and station website
  • Wrote broadcast scripts and edited video packages and b-roll footage
  • Booked guests – analysts, reporters, and newsmakers – for nightly sports talk show
  • Coordinated videographer assignments to maximize coverage of local sports stories
  • Managed production of Super 7 Athlete of the Week feature highlighting area scholar-athletes
  • Produced weekly magazine format shows covering various local teams and topics
  • Videographer/reporter for high school sports and NHL coverage
